Cinemagraph - Madison Galloway

Cinemagraphs are photographs in which a selection of the image moves slightly, repeatedly. They are usually saved and shown as a GIF file format. They are made by recording a short video and keeping one frame still while you select what part of the image is going to move. For example in the gif above the hair moves while the model and background remains still. This video is than looped forever so it plays continuously. Cinema graphs were coined by two U.S. photographers Kevin Burgand Jamie Beck. The technique is only very new to the industry and is a rising trend especially in the commercial world. As technology grows and nearly everything is shown on devices such as computers and phones, these cinema graphs are a great way to advertise as they are very interesting and catching to the eye.
